Mom's Bones |
| Mom’s Bones is an ongoing and interconnecting series of works utilizing wishbones, some actual chicken bones, and some of cast gold. Works included Empty Nest, a life-stage piece utilizing an inverted fichus tree and nests from various sources: humming birds, nightingales and Penelope’s own weavings. This series also includes hanging ornaments made of gold-painted wish bones, and a pair of sculptures from the Spirit Cave series, from the roots of a large fichus, and utilizing cast gold wish bones. Others are in process. |
